- No Room for Boasting: Romans 3:27 asks, “Where then is boasting? It is excluded.” God has removed any opportunity for anyone to boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 states, “For by grace you have been saved through faith… not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
- Why Salvation is Not by Works: If salvation were through our own works, we would become like Lucifer. We would say, “I achieved this salvation through my efforts,” and pride would set in. To prevent this, God set aside “works” as the basis for salvation. If we entered Heaven based on our own merit, we might become prideful again.
