- Timely Action & Responsibility: My policy is to act based on opportunity and necessity. When I performed inter-caste marriages, I didn’t leave them on the streets. Like a father, I provided everything from beds, fans, to even door mats. I also provided two months’ worth of rice bags to ensure their immediate stability.
- Support for Vocational Skills: To ensure long-term survival, I helped them find work. If a person knew tailoring, I bought them sewing machines and helped set up a shop so they could work and provide jobs to two others. This way, the family became self-reliant.
- Technical Skills: For someone skilled in repairing radios and TVs, I rented a shop and provided all necessary equipment like soldering irons and multimeters. I also distributed pamphlets to let people know about his services, effectively establishing his business.
- Livelihood through Vehicles: I helped those skilled in driving by purchasing cars or autos for them. A person who started with one auto I bought, worked hard to eventually own three autos and a house. Similarly, I invested in a person who wanted to do fish business and established him in export trade.
- Awareness of Government Schemes: I took unemployed youth to the ‘Small Scale Industry’ office in Balanagar, explained various courses like fitter and turner, and helped them get government subsidies and loans to start small industries.
