🇮🇱 Question: We call those who believe in Jesus ‘believers’ and those who don’t ‘Gentiles.’ What is the spiritual status of the Jews (Israelites) who still do not accept Jesus as their Savior? Are they believers or Gentiles? How will they be saved in the future?
- Special Status: Jews are currently ‘Gentiles-to-be-believers.’ Because of the covenant with Abraham, God has given that nation a special status. Though they do not accept the Messiah now, they are destined to become full believers soon.
- Temporary Blindness: According to Romans 11:25, a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. Once the designated number of Gentiles is saved and added to the Church, God will remove the veil from the eyes of Israel, and their spiritual eyes will be opened.
- God’s Strategic Mystery: Why did God blind them? If all Jews had recognized Jesus as the Messiah then, they would never have allowed Him to be crucified.
