While our bodies are formed in the mother’s womb, the soul is formed in the lower parts of the earth (Mother Earth). There is a ‘factory’ in the underworld where human souls are crafted. Prophets like Job and David alluded to this profound mystery in their writings.
- Two Divisions – Divine vs. Satanic: In that soul factory, while God has a portion, the fallen cherub (Satan) also has a portion. Apart from those God intends to create, Satan also brings forth beings from his portion. Such individuals may never attain salvation despite any effort. - Longevity through Prayer: In Psalm 102:24, David prayed, “Do not take me away in the midst of my days.” This implies that through prayer, one can seek to fulfill the complete lifespan allotted by God.
- Authority over the Day of Death: According to Ecclesiastes 8:8, just as no one can contain the wind, no one has power over the day of death. However, it can be hastened by foolish actions.
- Protection from Evil: According to Isaiah 57:1, God sometimes takes the righteous and godly away early to spare them from seeing the coming evil in the world.
- Destruction of Flesh for Soul’s Salvation: As mentioned in 1 Corinthians 5:5, when a person persists in grave sin, God may allow the destruction of their flesh (handing them over to Satan) so that their soul might be saved on the day of the Lord.
