- The Mother-Child Bond: A pastor must develop a bond with his congregation similar to that of a mother and her children. As Paul said, “Like a nursing mother cares for her children, so we cared for you.” A shepherd must know his flock. If pastors change frequently, the new leader leaves before even discovering the talents or weaknesses of the believers. By the time the congregation tunes into the new pastor’s personality, he is gone. How can there be spiritual growth in such a system? 🏗️
