🐳 Question: In Noah’s flood, all living animals perished, and only those that entered the ark survived. Did the fish and whales living in the water also die? If they didn’t, why did God, who destroyed the land animals, spare the aquatic life?
- Genetic Corruption: The primary reason for the Great Flood was the corruption of the genetic system by the “sons of God” (fallen angels) who cohabited with the daughters of men and land animals. This resulted in ‘Nephilim’ and monstrous creatures like dinosaurs. I have detailed this in my book ‘Intelligence in Space’ (Anthariksham lo Buddhijeevulu).
- Exclusion of Aquatic Life: The fallen angels did not perform their perverse experiments on fish or other aquatic creatures. They did not genetically corrupt the life within the waters. Since these creatures did not hinder God’s redemptive plan, there was no need for God to destroy them.
- Natural Protection: A flood, by definition, is the inundation of the earth with water. For fish that dwell in water, the deluge posed no threat; they remained safe in their natural habitat. While every creature with the ‘breath of life’ on dry land perished, the aquatic life survived.
