- Control, Not Extinction: Spirituality isn’t about killing emotions like anger; it’s about surrendering them to the Holy Spirit. If you kill anger, you won’t react even to injustice. Jesus Himself showed righteous anger in the temple.
- Lust and Procreation: If lust (desire) is totally destroyed, marriages and children would cease. A husband’s desire for his wife is a God-given emotion. It only becomes sin when it falls under Satan’s control outside of God’s boundary.
- Enoch’s Example: Enoch had children and a family, yet he walked with God for 300 years. His passions were fully aligned with God’s will. True holiness is having the right emotion at the right time.
- Rededicate Your Emotions: Satan hijacks our emotions for sin. We must reclaim them and say, “Father, use these for Your holy purposes.” This is the path to walking with God like Enoch.
