❓ Question: It is painful to hear that Jesus, like the scapegoat, will permanently take a form to carry our sins into a far country in eternity. Won’t this memory make us sad in heaven?
- Different Forms: Jesus has manifested in many forms throughout history (Micah 5:2). We aren’t saddened today because we can’t see the body He used to wrestle with Jacob. Similarly, that ‘sin-bearing’ form is not our focus.
- The Connection: Our primary attachment and love are for the Savior who hung on the cross. That is the identity we cherish.
- Peace in Eternity: In heaven, God wipes away every tear. There is no sorrow or regret. We will be so filled with His glory and presence that the absence of a particular ‘sacrificial form’ will not cause any grief.
