- The Sinless State: If Adam and Eve had not sinned, children would still have been born, growing until they reached youth and then remaining at that peak. There would have been no old age and no death. But because sin entered, death followed, and the process of growth no longer stops at a peak.
- Changes in Cells: Humans would have been born holy, with a divine nature and without the law of sin. However, when Adam sinned, a change occurred in his cells. After reaching a peak point, deterioration began. Old age is simply the process of gradually declining and drawing closer to death.
- The Onset of the Death Process: Aging is a form of slow death. When God said, “You shall surely die,” it referred to this slow process. The death process started that very day. Human perspective differs from God’s; in His sight, a day is like a thousand years. By that count, Adam did not live a full ‘day’ because he died before reaching a thousand years.
- Inherited Sin Nature: As soon as the fruit was eaten, death began, and Adam died before one ‘divine day’ was completed.
