- 📖 ఉదాహరణ – పవిత్ర గ్రంథం: ఒక ఉదాహరణ చెప్తాను – కాళ్ళ దగ్గర తాను నమ్మిన మతం యొక్క పవిత్ర గ్రంథం పెట్టుకోవడానికి ఎవరికీ ఇష్టం ఉండదు. అది తల వైపు ఉండాలి అనుకుంటారు. పడుకున్నప్పుడు పాదాల దగ్గర ఎవడూ తన మతం యొక్క పవిత్ర గ్రంథాన్ని పెట్టుకొని పడుకోడు. అటు ఒకడు ఉన్నా సరే, ఒకవేళ పడుకునేటప్పుడు తెలిసినా వెంటనే దాన్ని తీసి తలాపున పెట్టుకొని పడుకుంటాడు. ఇటు తన పవిత్ర గ్రంథాన్ని పెట్టుకున్నాడు, ఇటు కాళ్ళు చాపాడు. కానీ ఈ దిశలో ఇంకో గజము, ఇంకో నాలుగు గజాలు, 100 గజాలు, ఒక కిలోమీటర్ అవతల ఈ పవిత్ర గ్రంథం యొక్క ప్రతి అక్కడ ఆ వైపులో ఏదీ లేదని చెప్పగలడా? చెప్పలేడు. అంటే తనకు తెలిసి ఈ గదిలో మాత్రమే ఆ పవిత్ర గ్రంథం కాళ్ళ దగ్గర లేదు. కానీ ఆ బయట చాలా దూరంలో ఎన్నో వందల గ్రంథాలు ఉన్నాయి, వందల బైబిళ్లు ఉన్నాయి, అటు కాళ్ళు పెట్టుకున్నాను. అంటే నా తీర్మానం ఈ గదికి మాత్రం పరిమితం.
- 🧱 నిరంతర ప్రక్రియ: అలాగే మనం చేసే ప్రతి తీర్మానం కూడా ఒక టైమ్ (Time) కు పరిమితం, ఒక స్థలానికి పరిమితం. అన్ని స్థలాలకు, కాలాలకు అతీతమైనటువంటి ఆజ్ఞ గాని, ఒక కార్యక్రమం గాని కాలాతీతుడైనటువంటి దేవుడు మాత్రమే, భగవంతుడు మాత్రమే చేయగలడు. భగవంతుడు బంధిస్తే అది అనంతంగా, కాలానికి అతీతంగా ఉంటుంది. కాలమునకు బందీ అయిన మనం బంధిస్తే అది కొంత మేరకే ఉంటుంది. దట్ ఈజ్ ద రీజన్ (That is the reason) – పదే పదే పదే పదే దుష్టుడిని బంధిస్తూ పోవాల్సిన అవసరం భూమి మీద భక్త సమాజానికి ఉంది.
- ⚔️ ప్రార్థనలో అధికారం: అందుకే ఏసుప్రభువు చెప్పాడు – “మీరు ఇద్దరు ముగ్గురు ఏకీభవించి కూడుకొని ఏది అడిగినా నేను ఇస్తాను, మీరు దేన్ని బంధించినా దాన్ని పరలోకంలో బంధిస్తాను, దేన్ని విప్పినా పరలోకమందు దాన్ని విప్పుతాను” అని. అంటే అర్థం ఏమిటి? ప్రార్థనలో ఇద్దరు ముగ్గురు కలిసి నిరంతరం చేయాల్సిన ప్రక్రియ – దుష్టుని శక్తులను బంధించడం, వాడు కట్టిన బంధకాలు విప్పదీయటం. ఇది నిరంతరం ప్రార్థనలో జరగాలి.

❓ Question: What does it mean to ‘bind Satan’ in prayer? If he is bound, how and when does he get released? Why do we have to repeat this act of binding in our prayers?
- The Constraint of Time and Space: We live in a world governed by Time and Space. Consequently, our actions, decrees, and prayers are often limited by these two factors. When a human—who is a finite being—binds a spiritual force, that decree is often specific to a particular time and a particular location.
- The Analogy of the Holy Book: Consider someone who respects their Holy Book so much that they would never point their feet toward it in their room. They move the book to their headside. However, while their feet are no longer pointing at the book in that room, they are inevitably pointing toward thousands of other copies of that same book miles away in the same direction. Their ‘vow’ of respect is localized to their immediate presence.
- The Need for Continuous Prayer: Similarly, when a believer binds the enemy, it is an exercise of authority within their immediate ‘spiritual environment’ and for a specific duration. This is why spiritual warfare is a continuous process. Jesus granted the authority to bind and loose (Matthew 18:18), implying that the Church must actively and repeatedly exercise this power to keep the enemy’s influence at bay.
- Divine vs. Human Binding: Only God, who exists outside of Time and Space, can bind the enemy eternally. When God finally casts Satan into the lake of fire, it will be permanent. Until then, the prayers of the saints act as a restraint. The effectiveness depends on the believer’s anointing and the specific divine purpose for that moment.
